Milestones recorded during Steam Next Fest from developer posts on Steam News:
In Find The Needle, players start as a solitary worker inside an expansive warehouse facing an enormous haystack. You begin sifting through strands entirely by hand using rudimentary gear like shovels, buckets, and metal detectors. Selling harvested hay yields funds to invest in conveyor belts, automated balers, optical scanners, and robotic sorting arms. Ordinary hay is processed into profitable industrial commodities including compressed bales, eco bricks, pulp, and paper sheets. An upgrade tech tree featuring over 300 nodes enables players to optimize layout throughput and automate the endless search for hidden needles.
Begin with shovels, pitchforks, wheelbarrows, and detectors to extract raw hay and discover initial needles.
Construct complex conveyor networks, optical scanners, robotic sorters, and high-throughput baling machinery.
Transform mountain piles of hay into valuable export products including paper sheets, eco bricks, and compact bales.
Invest hard-earned profits into 300+ technological upgrades unlocking enhanced machine power and processing speeds.
The game is scheduled for Early Access in Q4 2026. While the launch window is confirmed for Q4 2026, Needless Games has not yet announced a specific calendar day.
