Every automated processing machine in Find The Needle requires a steady supply of electric power. Setting up reliable power distribution early prevents factory shutdowns and keeps conveyors running smoothly.

Generating Electricity

Before setting up electrical lines, you need active generators supplying power to your grid. You place a hay generator and feed raw hay into it to burn and produce current.

As your factory expands, tech tree upgrades increase how much power each generator can output. Always maintain an automated belt of fuel running directly into your generator intake to prevent fuel starvation.

Distributing Power with Poles

Electrical power does not transmit across open ground automatically. You must erect power poles to carry electricity from your generators to distant manufacturing wings.

Poles project a connection radius that links nearby machinery. Place poles at regular intervals alongside main conveyor avenues so newly placed machines connect immediately upon construction.

Emergency Shutdown and Low-Power Alerts

Managing a overloaded grid requires quick intervention when demand spikes. Pressing E on a power pole lets you shut down the whole electricity network instantly.

This shutdown function lets you isolate sections of your factory or stop machines while refueling generators. The game also provides clear feedback: a power network notification visual effect triggers whenever total power drops below the required threshold.
